Bibigo Korean Dining
1:22 AMHey guys!
I've read about this restaurant called Bibigo at Pacific Place, Jakarta and has been meaning to visit for a while. It's been in Jakarta for a year and turns out it is part of the CJ Group (which brought Tous Les Jours as well) and it's famous for its Bibimbap. I don't like Bimbimbap, so we ordered these instead.
I ordered a regular green tea because Korean tea is just not to my tasting.
Part of the main course is Hot Stone Galbi. It's basically grilled beef. It is so juicy but some of the meat are harder to chew though. But it's just a really good grilled beef.
The second meal is what I think is Sundubu Jjigae, a spicy tofu stew with seafood. I was a bit anxious when ordering this because usually jjigae is very spicy and hot in a level I couldn't handle. But surprisingly, I don't think they put much gochujang or that signature Korean paste. It was just a really hearty broth with chopped chili. I loved it!
The last dish was Bibigo Steak Hache or grilled beef patty. This one is grilled with a sweet sauce which I don't like. I think it hides the true juices of the meat.
Overall, I won't be paying them a second visit. If you like bibimap, you might try this place but for the grilled dishes I gave this one a pass. For its price I think there are lots of other more friendlier option around town.
Always
