I love Thai food - well, I like chicken pandan the most so it's what I always order when we go to Thai restaurants. This time we went to White Elephant, which I hear is affiliated with Jitlada, my other favorite Thai restaurants. On Sundays, it is unbelievably busy. I had trouble even calling the waiter, which made me skeptical about this place. Anyways, we ordered several dishes just to try different, strong, flavors.

Thai Iced Tea - Always a good choice for me

This is squid sauteed with salted egg. Yep, those duck salted egg.

I have to say it has a strange texture. Imagine having squids sauteed with egg yolk. Not runny yolks, but the done yolk. Having that yolk texture is strange on squids but yeah it sure is different.

Beef with Basil

The beef is tender and lovely, although the taste is quite forgettable. All in all, it is still a good choice.

Green Chicken Curry

Too strong and too much spices. It is just not my type of food. Preferred those Japanese ones. But it's good to try something new. Warning, some of it's ingredients is super bitter.

Chicken Pandan

I always love this dish. I love the grilled taste which soak into the chicken.

The only let down of this dish is because it's grilled wrapped inside the leaves, some parts of it was still under cooked.

Overall, I don't think I'll be coming back to this restaurant anytime soon. But if you do love burst of flavors, try this place. Strong flavors all around.
