Formosa Food
7:04 AMApparently my family was so drawn to PIK these days. We went there again to try one of the many rows of restaurant, bars and kitchen. We picked Ilha Formosa, a Taiwanese food place. I have never been to such place so it was pretty exciting.
First dish we ordered a Taiwanese Chicken Rice. I love chicken and it's a no-brainer choice for me. It's different from Hainanese; it was a medium grained rice with steamed chicken dipped in a soy-sauce. It isn't salty or savory, it was rather sweet, I love it. Another chicken dish we ordered as side is called drunken chicken, which is a cold steamed chicken which was soaked in wine. It wasn't for my tongue, I can't cope with the bitter taste of alcohol. But it was worth the try actually, quite a generous portion too.
The last dish is the Beef Soup, served with noddles. I love this too, the perfect broth. I love that they add soy sauce to the broth, making it super tasty. The chosen beef was fatty but I guess it enhances the broth. A good choice indeed.
