Travels: Singapore
5:53 AM
Hey folks!
I've gone to Singapore I don't know how many times but still found something new each time. This time it wasn't a vacation, but a medical visit. So here are some cool hawker food and drink I devoured!
I went to the General Hospital and man, it's just so cool! I cannot stress enough how positive the hospital vibe, at least in the outpatient block. They even have Kopitiam. I don't mind eating hospital food everyday.
So, my dad got me Nasi Briyani (4.50$) at Kopitiam SGH. It's on a Nasi Padang stand. Explosion of taste and spice. I love the decent size chicken thigh, the extra gravy and there were too much rice I can't even finish it!
The next is the famous Tian Tian Singaporean Hainanese Chicken Rice (3.50$) at Maxwell Food Center. The last time I was here it was already sold out so I noted to come early. Is it good? Definitely! The fragrant, delicate rice is super delicious. Would I come back? Yes, but it isn't a total must.
Here's the next one, this is Zha Jiang Noodles (4.50$) at a Korean Food stall at People's Park Complex food hawker. Basically it's jajangmyeon - noodles with black soybean sauce and beef. Decent portion, I love the chewiness of the noodles, the sauce isn't very tasty though but it was quite satisfying.
The last one, a drink I got at Bao Today (2.00$) just outside 313 Somerset. It's a chin chow (yes it's cincau) HK style milk tea. Milk tea never disappoints me although it isn't sweet. The chin chow is finely chopped - too finely it escapes my mouth before I can chew so not so good.
Yep so there you go!
Always
