Abura Soba Yamatoten, Pantai Indah Kapuk
7:05 PM
Hoi!
A couple of weeks back I went on a trip to Pantai Indah Kapuk aka that hip place with (sometimes) overrated food and even more shocking price (but I go there anyway so...there goes my logic) to try the newly talked about Soba place called Abura Soba Yamatoten (http://tinyurl.com/mhnrtr5). After a short research soba is a type of Japanese noodles made from buckwheat, which I assume is healthier?
Anyhow, it's located at Ruko Garden House (in the same row as Hakkata Ikkousha, Hong Tang and Locale 24). Like other PIK eatery it is small and gets very crowded as the day progresses. I was lucky to get a seat in front which has a lot of lighting as my camera phone sucks in dark places.
I ordered the signature one, this Original Abura Soba. The powering flavor is sesame oil, I bet they put a lot in because it has no broth so it's covered by oil (drowned in oil, to some extent). The pork amazing and if you check out my video you'll see the grilled pork is even better! This goes for 59k.
In the end, do I want to come back? Hardly, well, because I live very far from PIK and it's really nothing special. But, if you can eat pork and love pork and Japanese food and is around the area, it could be a very satisfying choice.
Oh yes that's good!
Check out my trip + more!
Always
Hana
