Girly Meet Ups at Old Town White Coffee

6:48 AM

Hoi!

I love meet ups. Listening to fun stories from your most loved ones are always the best. So, when an impromptu get together arisen I cannot miss the chance. A couple of friends and I went for a light meal at Old Town White Coffee on a fine Thursday evening. Well, for me, I had to have my dinner so I went ahead of the meeting time and got myself some pasta and lemonade from Nanny's Pavillon.  Now, I didn't realise it at the time but I was about to fall into a trap.

So I got this Robert's Mushroom Olio Spaghetti (IDR 49k), thinking it was affordable and quite healthy considering it was only mushrooms and oil but oh I was wrong. I forgot the kick factor, which was the chilli flakes. The thing is, I already had this dish before and I had the most horrible experience. Not very good with spicy things, I am. It was just horrible -- but I couldn't stop eating. For those of you who can withstand the hotness of this dish, it is actually a pretty neat pasta.

For drinks, if the menu has Lemonade, I had to order it. There's something about lemonade that I love so much.

After that horrific dinner, I went to meet up with my friends and shared this lovely toast. We are odd people, we eat breakfast for dinner. Old Town, I must say, serves one of the best kaya toast in town for IDR 28k. That plentiful butter mixed with the sweetness of the kaya spread was phenomenal. Although the toast was a bit too rough for my gum (I may have scraped a section on my upper mouth--ouch), but overall it was good. I also ordered the Xi Mut Milk Tea (basically just a fancy term for milk tea). I don't hate it, it was perfect for me because I'm not a big fan of sweetened ice tea anyway. It tasted a bit bland though.

Always
