Hey guys!
My brother had been raving about this place for ever. Did you know there are two real, authentic Japanese restaurant in Senayan Trade Centre (STC) Jakarta? I have never set foot on that building before (going to McDonald's didn't count) so I wouldn't have guessed, in my wildest guess that a place like this would exist. My brother, my mum and I went to Naka Nakaya on the ground floor of building. It is next to the entrance, right next to the Plaza Senayan side (if you catch my drift).
It was a slow day at first, we did arrive pretty early. No greeters but at front but as soon as we enter the waitress immediately directed us to a table. From the ambience and the people who dined there, we immediately know it was legit. They were all Japanese expats! My brother pointed out that they have some lunch specials. Since we didn't know the size of the food, mum and bro shared a lunch special of sashimi rice bowl and miso ramen. It was 96k before tax - for two dishes! But, I guess for the Japs it was for one serving. For us, it was huge.
Free Ocha: Oh yeah!
Part of the special: Rice bowl with assorted sashimi. Mum devoured the ramen it before I took a picture.
Nash Curry, 80k bfr tax.
So, I think we paid like 280k for three special, really good lunch. Plus free Ocha and dessert. You have to go!
