Trippin' : Jepara Day 2
3:59 AMHey guys!
So it's day two of my adventures to Jepara. It's such a small town that every street somehow is connected to each other. But they all look the same. We had to go round and round quite a bit earlier today. There were so may crossroads without traffic lights so it was just too crazy, especially with motorbikes. The body of the street is small with people with different pace running about. It was confusing, to say the least.
Anyway, we went out to find lunch and as usual, gifts to bring home. Since it's a coastal town and its produce is fish, we had to bring home fish. Smoked fish, dried fish, salted fish, fish crackers. We even ate lunch of fish (again). We went to the same street of AE Suryani to Pondok Bambu Samadiyo.
It was (again) empty but maybe it is like that in an off-season period. But the owners are nice. No more pindang serani but we did order grilled snapper and dorang fish. Let's just say we devoured that fast. But I prefer my smoked fish more. Aside from the fish, we also had Butter Shrimp (Udang Saos Mentega, yeah right). That was lovely. A decent size (and price) for a three person meal.
Tomorrow we're going back to Kudus (maybe some authentic Soto Kudus?) and a quick shopping spree at Tenun Troso. Let's see.
Always.
