Balboni Ristorante, Kota Kasablanka

5:52 AM

Hey guys!

My brother suggested this place to celebrate my 22nd birthday with my family. It looks like any other Italian restaurant but with a twist: Ceylon twist. Yes, they are trying to marry Italian with Sri Lankan taste. So here are what we ordered:

 Frutti di Mare 95k
For pizza, we ordered the seafood kind--I loved this. It's thin, full of flavor.

 Minestrone Soup 40k
Nothing special for this soup, despite its thumbs up on the menu. Yes, it tasted like a home cook meal, which is exactly why it isn't so special.

 Spaghetti  Twisted S.L.Aglio Olio 80k
This was my dish and I loved! If you like curry and pasta like I do, this is the champion. I've never tasted anything like this. It's such a beautiful mix. It can gradually get very spicy but it's so worth the money. Perfect beef curry, that slices of cheese balances out the spiciness. It was just splendid.

 Bruschette Calabrese 50k
Very tantalizing bruschetta dish. It was fresh, with the mix of veggies such as tomatoes and onion. Mozzarella and pepperoni were perfect. The onion though was a tiny bit spicy for my tongue but all in all it was good.

 Brasato di Manzo 90k
It tasted more like meatballs, but really good meatballs. A mix of cream and sour sauce was really good. I cannot stop licking my spoon.

Balboni Ristorante is located in 88@Kasablanka, entrance from Kota Kasablanka just past Munchies.

Always
